Flower Shaker
Materials:
Empty Ribbon / Hi -Tac Tape Core
Acetate
Circular Topper from Spring Bringer Topper Sheet
A4 sheet Love Spring Paper
Wooden Skewer
Ribbon and Flowers to embellish
Small beads
P.V.A. Glue
Die cutting Machine
Spellbinders Classic Circle & Scallop Circle Dies
1. Punch a small hole using a Crop-A-Dile in the bottom of the empty core. The hole needs to large enough for the end of the skewer to go through. Put to one side.
2. Cut a strip of patterned paper the same width as the empty core and adhere to outside of the core. Paint skewer and once dry push through hole in core, snip pointed end of skewer off.
3. Choose topper and die cut a circle out of patterned paper the same size. Adhere the two circles together back to back.
4. Apply P.V.A. glue to the edge of the ribbon core and place over the image. You may want to weigh the ribbon reel down until the P.V.A has fully bonded with the topper circle.
5. Sprinkle tiny beads into the center of the reel core, don’t sprinkle too much or the image won’t be clear.
6. Die cut a circle from the acetate. Apply P.V.A glue to the top edge of the reel core and place acetate circle on top. Weigh down until fully bonded and glue has dried.
7. Die cut a slightly larger scallop edge circle and die cut out the center. Adhere on top of the acetate as shown.
8. Finally embellish with ribbon and flowers.
